OUR STORY
Joy & Co began as a passion project by Jen — a mum of three girls from Sydney’s Sutherland Shire, juggling family life, work, mental load and everything in between.
After a particularly chaotic year of ticking boxes, running late, managing meltdowns and trying to do it all, Jen realised her family needed something more than just survival mode. They needed a simple, fun way to slow down, connect, and find joy in what they already had.
What started as a family ritual — writing down the good things and popping them in a jar — soon became something deeper. It lifted moods, eased anxious thoughts, sparked connection and created a treasured keepsake of shared moments. So she created Joy Jars, and with them, Joy & Co — to help other families and individuals experience the same shift.

OUR WHY
The emotional wellbeing of Aussie families is under strain — and now more than ever, we need simple, accessible ways to care for our minds and hearts.
1 in 4 adolescents and 1 in 7 primary school kids are living with a mental illness. And 1 in 5 adults will experience mental ill-health this year alone.* The pressure is real — and the need for calm, connection, and emotional support is growing.
The good news? Gratitude practices — like writing down and sharing joyful moments — are backed by science. They can help release mood-boosting chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, which improve mental health, strengthen relationships, and increase emotional resilience.
By choosing joy — even on hard days — we begin to rewire our brains to notice the good, build a buffer against stress, and shift our mindset toward hope.
Joy Jars offer a simple, screen-free way to start. One note at a time.
